Miss Gifty Andzie

With almost 11 years of experience in professional services, Gifty has worked with both public and private sector clients across various industries in Ghana. Gifty has provided assistance in the area of tax compliance and tax consulting services by advising clients on the tax impact of their future or past transactions, playing a lead role on tax reviews and leading compliance engagements for diverse sectors. Her other roles have involved assisting clients in responding to assessments from audits conducted by the Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA), making tax planning recommendations as well as negotiating on behalf of clients on issues raised by the GRA.
In terms of international exposure, Gifty has over two (2) years of experience in providing tax compliance and provisioning services to United States-based publicly listed companies while on secondment in the USA. During that period she advised on efficient ways of complying with the relevant tax laws and meeting the tax accounting reporting requirements of the relevant institutions.
In PwC, Gifty specializes in Tax Reporting and Strategy, a unit that deals in providing solutions to ensure efficiency in tax reporting, recommending technology-driven solutions, and conducting assessments on clients to improve their tax function, strategy, and processes. She has also led sessions in the PwC Business School on Ghana’s tax environment as they relate to different industries.
Gifty holds an MBA from the University of North Carolina, USA, a BSc. degree in Accounting from the University of Ghana, and is also a member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants
